On Fearless Wings
Today, I start the beginning of what will be a very long journey. I’m heading out to my house in Bali. A beautiful, tropical paradise where the orchestra of the wind in rice fields plays complicated symphonies with frogs, crickets, roosters, dogs, and people.
The journey starts from my home in Harlem, New York, to JFK to catch a flight to Hong Kong. This is the longest part of the flight. It will take 16 hours to fly to Hong Kong and then I have a 14 hour layover before taking the next flight to Denpasar in Bali. Another 7 hours. When I reach the airport in Bali, I will be connecting with our staff who will drive us one hour up into the mountains of Bali and we can finally relax into a three week vacation.
So this is the first of the blogs that I intend to write during my trip, and at this moment, with desk cleared and bags packed, I’m ready to go forth and truly enjoy my first vacation in two years.
What vacations are you taking this year? Would love to hear from you.
Bon Vacance…..more from Hong Kong
