Bali’s popularity derives not only from its physical beauty, but also from its vibrant spirituality and flourishing cultural scene. While in Bali we will be meeting and interacting with artisans, dancers, shopkeepers, body workers, priests and shamans. Balinese society is dynamic, open and inviting to visitors from the outside world. Her friendly, straightforward people welcome you to learn and participate.
Start your magical journey with arrival at the airport in Bali where our villa staff will drive you to the town of Ubud, the scene of the latest movie Eat Pray Love, based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s book of the same name. Ubud is considered one of the best towns in Asia by Conde Nast Magazine.
Your adventure will introduce you to many of Bali’s greatest treasures: its ancient Hindu temples; traditional arts of weaving, painting and sculpture; and its world-famous gamelan music and stunning Balinese dance. Not only will you observe these traditions, but also we will bring you into the heart of these art forms.
You will enjoy the beauty of the gamelan and dance performers right in our own private, luxurious villa…dine on gourmet meals prepared by our own personal chef…melt to the touch of expert masseuses…explore local markets and museums…meet Balinese artists and artisans…and even learn some Balinese dance yourself!

By exploring our interior as well as our exterior landscapes, we will travel to the places we normally hold back, to the places we consider sacred, to the places where we have hidden our power and our light. The Balinese heal themselves in many ways. The obvious way is by going to traditional healers who cure with herbs, oils, massage, trance, mantras and energy work. They also heal by balancing their world through offerings and rituals. This culture can show you a different perspective on how to heal yourself.
As the performing arts are such an integral part of this complex culture, you will learn about the music and dance (including learning how to play a gamelan instrument and learning a few dance steps!) and see a number of different performing arts traditions (including a trance ritual if possible).
This journey to Bali embraces your spirit and will transform the prism through which you view your presence in the world.

Here’s what you can expect:
When you arrive at the villa, the villa staff will adorn you with fragrant frangipani flowers, and offer you a cold towel and an excellent glass of homemade lemon juice, as you take in the unequaled view of the villa and the ocean of rice fields beyond.
If you arrive during the day, a massage therapist will await your arrival, and after settling into your room. (There are five bedrooms in the villa, and all rooms are double occupancy with twin beds. Share it with a favorite girlfriend!)
After you get settled in, you will be whisked away to relax and drop the effects of your travels. Two one-hour massages are included in your trip.
Dinner will be served that night at the villa against the backdrop of a beautiful sitting Buddha reflected in the pond, and the sounds of crickets, frogs amid the waterfall.
The following day the real fun begins and for the next two weeks you will experience all that Bali has to offer.
