Freedom From Fear

Freedom from Fear. What does that look like to you?
We all talk about feeling fearful, but many times we can’t even define what that is. The reason is we are so conditioned to feeling that way that we can’t really pinpoint where it all began. But, if you dig down deep enough, you’ll start to find that it began with the messages you heard growing up. We were all conditioned by parents, teachers and other authority figures in our lives. But did you ever stop to consider the source of these stories that have molded who you are?
We are all a collection of other people’s fears. When your mother yelled at you for stepping off the pavement without looking, she was voicing her own fears that her child could be killed because she wasn’t looking. But you internalized that feeling because you thought you were being bad.
There are millions of episodes like this in our life.We suffer humiliation because someone needed to feel bigger than us. We were rejected because it didn’t fit with someone’s ideal of what they
wanted. We lost someone because we couldn’t say what we wanted because we were too afraid we weren’t good enough.
We bury our negative messages in our psyche and then spend years caught in a belief system about who we think we are based on other people’s opinions.
I like to ask “Are you living your own story?” or are you inhabiting the epic novel of your forefathers? Most of the time, it’s the latter.
Learning how to handle your fear, self-doubt and anxiety is what The Fearless Factor is all about. It’s about the choices we make when fear shows up in our lives, and ways in which we can minimize our conditioned reaction to these uncomfortable feelings that signal our need to run, defend, react and destroy in order to avoid them.
We learn to overcome fear not by running away, but by standing our ground, being willing to make changes in our life, and building confidence by practicing new survival skills over and over again. If you’d like to find out how to overcome any challenge in your life by creating clear communication and greater confidence then you must order a copy of The Fearless Factor today.
