What did you do today that scared you?

by Jacqueline on August 5, 2009

Being fearless is simply showing up to the fear in your life.  Where do you get scared and run, or where do you get scared and ask what can I learn from this?

Personally, I take the second position.  Fear is one of the most powerful motivating forces in the world.  Let’s face it, none of us wants to feel trapped, lost, rejected or ashamed. And certainly we don’t want to fail.  But when we take these issues on as a challenge, a world of opportunities opens up to you.

So I’m starting a challenge this week.  And I’m hoping hundreds of people will respond because I’m putting together a book about it.

If you answer the questions I’ll send you The Fearless Factor ebook as my gift to you for being brave.  Just give me your email when you reply to the post.

  • What did you do today that scared you?
  • How did it feel when you did whatever made you uncomfortable?

I’m attending the eWomen Conference this week in Dallas with over 2,000 women in attendance and I’m going to be asking that question a lot.  I’ll be videotaping their responses, and posting it here if I can figure out the technology. Always a challenge!

I am a young 62 yrs and I began a 2 year RN study program last Nov. I will graduate Nov 2010. I was diagnosed with “valley fever” during this course of study. I am ploughing thru. I will finish this course. I had straight A’s last semester. I feel out of place some days amongst all these youngsters and I will have 40K in student loans when I finish but everything will be fine. Plse send me good thoughts

Hi there,

You are a FEARLESS woman. I love that you began this at age 60 and are doing so well. I also went back to school as a ‘mature’ student, and had a blast with the people whow ere younger. With our spirit you will do extremely well. The world needs people like you. All the very best Jacqueline
