It is my belief that we carry our story with us throughout life, rewriting or redefining it as we go. Because I’ve reinvented myself several times during my lifetime, the work I do assists other people to rewrite or redefine their story.
I like to say you are either living in someone else’s epic novel, or you’re the author of your own life. You get to choose. So this is my story, but only the overview. If you want to know more read any of my books and you’ll get the bigger picture. THE OFFICIAL BIO IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE. And the story begins….
…in a land across the water, a daughter was born to parents who were deeply troubled human beings. The girl grew up trapped by poverty, violence, drug and alcohol addictions, trapped by unwanted pregnancies, and trapped by the belief that she would never amount to anything. The girl attended the School of Hard Knocks and ran away from home at age 16, dumpster diving into the world of drug and alcohol abuse, mindless and reckless actions that left two children without their mother, and came perilously close to destroying her life. Until one day she awoke and asked, just like the Peggy Lee song, “Is this all there is?” With the help of some wise and wonderful guides and mentors, she began to understand that things could be different. She had no idea what that looked like, but she would learn. It became the mantra for her life. Learn, Grow and Achieve. She Learned how to step away from the fear, anxiety, low self-esteem and inability to ask for what she wanted. She Grew into a strong, capable and confident woman. And, she Achieved far more than she ever thought possible growing up in Leith, Scotland. Fast-forward a lot of years. The girl turned into a warrior and earned a red belt in Tae Kwon Do and a black belt in Shotokan karate at age 49. She inspired people all over the world with her singing, wrote five books, and cooked some extraordinary meals, while traveling and living in the U.S, Europe and Bali where she has a gorgeous villa and holds retreats for women. She ‘s been married to the same guy for more years than she ever thought possible, and has wonderful relationships with her four children whom she adores. Over the years, the girl realized that she had learned a lot about fear, insecurity, limited beliefs, and lack of confidence, and she learned that she could change her life, and did. She no longer had to live in someone else’s epic novel, but she could be the author of her own life. And she wanted to teach other people how to do it too. Official Bio:
