Jump! It’s not as far as you think.

The weeks are moving very fast and preparations are under way for one of the biggest events in my life. Make sure you mark August 17th on your calendar so you can share it with me.

Do you find when you’re preparing for new experiences you meet them with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. You look forward to what’s to come, but you’re not really sure what it looks like.  I call that living in the GAP, and no, I’m not talking about retail shopping!

It’s the space between the known and the unknown, which can sometimes feel like an abyss.  There is usually uncertainty, a great deal of trepidation, but if you have a rowdy crowd of negative thoughts, opinions and expectations at your back, then it’s usually best to jump.

Sam Keen calls this ‘the sharp edge of excitement’.

What’s the worst that can happen?  Will you fall and die? Or, will you fly to the other side?

How many times in your life have you been confronted by the abyss?  I’d bet it’s a lot more than you are conscious of.  We all face moments in life when the decisions we take are hard ones, we know if we don’t take them because we are convinced we will suffer from frustration, unfulfilled dreams, loneliness, disappointment and a myriad of other negative states.

While the grass is often greener on the other side, the biggest challenge is knowing what the outcome will be when we reach it.

Our fear of change is simply our imagination on overdrive.

We imagine the worst, and if we expect a negative outcome, there’s a good chance it will surely come to pass. On the other hand, how many times have you thought the worst and been pleasantly surprised when things turned out well.  Then you wonder why you were so worried or upset in the first place.

What would your life look like if you could do away with that kind of thinking all together?  What if you could presume the best and allow the universe to deliver simply because you expected it.  Wouldn’t that be an amazing place to live from?

Now for all you naysayers in the crowd who say fat chance about having your expectations met, what would it look like if you could just give up the negativity for a while?  See what a difference it made in your life?  Would that be something that would interest you?

Is that a choice you would be willing to make?

In my work with hundreds of clients, the negative voices that hold them back make them their own worst enemies.  “If I could only learn to get out of my own way,” they say.

But how about turning that around?  Would you like to be your own best friend?  Would you like to develop compassion and caring for you?  Wouldn’t it feel much better than slamming  yourself up the side of the head with a two by four?

I teach people how to do that every day in practice, but the human conditioning for negativity is very resilient, and most people would rather the devil they know, than the devil they don’t know.  But I ask, “Do you really want to live in hell?”

The leap across the abyss looks large, because in our imagination we have created an ocean.  But in reality, the GAP between now and the opportunity for change is very small.

You’ve heard the expression “I feel like I’ve turned a corner.” Well, I’ve turned a corner in my life and it’s really exciting.  Dreams are coming true, life is better than I could ever have expected, and I’m only just getting started.

Are you ready to turn the corner on your life and get a completely different view?

So let me ask you this:

* What are the two biggest challenges you are currently facing
in any area of your life?

* If someone could help you do two things, what would you LOVE
help on?

* Which of the following shapes would tend to be your favorite?
Cube
Pyramid
Wavy Line
Ball

* Which of the following four things would tend to cause you the most frustration:

  1. Things being done improperly or out of order
  2. Things being out of control
  3. Things being boring, or not fun
  4. Conflict with others?

Send me your answers to jacqueline@thefearlessfactor.com and I’ll send you a free report that will help you leap across the abyss with much less effort than you ever thought possible.
